Bear Lake: A Distant Destiny Worth the Travel

In an oddly squared-shaped state called Utah, lies 647 lakes, trust me on that number... I looked it up just for this blog. I just so happened to travel with some friends to one of those lakes, called Bear Lake. It wasn't all rainbows and butterflies getting there though, the drive consisted up being squished in the backseat of a half cab cummins.. for 4 hours! Every miserable mile driven was totally worth it though, because girls were met, memories were made, and a cool secret place was discovered.

Bear Lake consists of people, expensive boats, and giant cabins.. EVERYWHERE! One of my friends happened to be a rich mo-fo, and ironically had a cabin up there that we got to stay at. It was nice, especially ignoring the fact that I have debts coming out of my butt. Why?.. college. In the moment, feeling as though I was Bill Gates or something rich like that, there wasn't a care in the world.

You would expect our trip to be all about boating and being on the water of Bear Lake. Well that is where things got interesting, because we didn't even touch the water. In fact, we were over 4 miles from the the lake. The reason why is because we were off in the mountains doing something people didn't know Bear Lake had, we were riding four wheelers!

Bear Lake had beautiful canyons covered with trees, animals, and a couple of morons riding around like there is no tomorrow. The trail was hidden in the outbacks of the mountains, were nobody usually bothered to go, mostly because there was a 109 square miles long lake just next door.
Now this wasn't your everyday four wheeler riding, because it had recently rained. There was mini ponds around every rocky corner, which we blasted through. The mud became less on the floor, and more on us.

Hence this video..

It wasn't a smooth ride, it was actually quite bumpy with bolder rocks, and holes that I had to swerve around. We eventually learned that it was an expert level which didn't help, but it made it an enjoyable ride!

I made memories I will never forget, and found an amazing four wheeler trail that made the highlights. If you ever find yourself in Bear Lake, head east from where the lake is. Maybe you will get lucky and find the special trail I found, and hopefully it's raining so you can have fun with people like my friends!
